Eligibility Criteria

Candidates from the General/SC/ST/OBC categories must have passed their 10+2 exam or an equivalent test with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as their primary subjects to pursue a BHMS degree.

  • Students must score at least 50 percent marks in aggregate and must also qualify for the NEET UG examination.
  • Reserved category aspirants must secure 40 percent in Class 12 or equivalent exams with the main subjects.
  • The applicants cannot be younger than 17 on December 31 of the academic year for which admission is being considered.
  • While the maximum age limit for admission to BHMS in India is 25 years (Five years relaxation for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories)
  • Aspirants must secure the minimum qualifying percentile of NEET UG for admission to the BHMS course. For the general category, the cutoff is 50 percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 40th percentile.

Admission 2023

The application for the BHMS course for the 2023 admission process is now open at several colleges. The registration process for the BHMS course generally starts in January, and the last date to apply for the BHMS course is April.

  • Candidates may have to sit for the entrance; they fill out the application form based on the college. This will follow the group discussion stage and personal interview round.
  • The governing authority will assess the skills and abilities of the candidates.
  • Candidates clearing these rounds are likely to appear for the counseling round.
  • Also, candidates need to get at least 50% aggregate marks in their 10+2 exams to apply for the BHMS course in India, and they should not be more than 17 years at the time of admission. The counseling round may be conducted online this year.
