If you plan to study abroad, the admission process requires you to take a single standardized and one language exam. However, depending on your selected country, school, college, or university, you may be required to take just one standardised exam to demonstrate your English-language proficiency. You may be exempt from submitting a second language exam.

The language tests reveal your English proficiency level. You will have to gain admittance to at least one language exam to be admitted to most universities in an English-speaking country. These require pursuing almost all courses; Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Certificates, or Diplomas.
Different countries give priority to one language exam over others. Few of the top English language tests which do use by prominent study-abroad destinations:
- IELTS:- IELTS is the preferred exam for university admission in Australia, the UK, and New Zealand. The IELTS mark is valid for two years.
- TOEFL: The TOEFL test is the preferred test for universities in the US and Canada, while it is not accepted at many UK colleges. Your TOEFL marks are valid until two years after your result's declaration.
- PTE: PTE exam accepted at a few institutes in the US and most colleges in the UK. British universities gave CAE and CPE preference. Further, PTE Academic marks are valid for up to two years from the exam date.
