MCh Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgery: Eligibility Criteria ,Admissions, Medical Colleges, Fees
Introduction
MCh in Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgery is a super speciality level course for doctors in India that they do after completing their postgraduate medical degree course. This super speciality course is three years, and it deals with diagnosing and managing benign and malignant liver, pancreas, and biliary tree diseases.

The course is a full-time program pursued at various recognized medical colleges nationwide. Some top medical colleges offering this course include the Institute of Liver and Biliary sciences, New Delhi, CMC Vellore, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and hospital, Sitapur, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Admission to this course is done via the NEET-SS Entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations, followed by counselling based on the exam scores that DGHS/MCC/State Authorities conduct.
The fee for pursuing this program differs from college to college and may range from Rs.2,07,000 to Rs 29,00,000 per year. Candidates can take reputed jobs as Senior residents, Consultants, etc., with an approximate salary range of Rs 25 lakhs to Rs. 41 lakhs per annum.
Eligibility Criteria
- The primary entry qualifications shall be strictly by PG Medical Education Regulations, 2000, its amendments notified by the NMC and any clarification issued from NMC in this regard.
- The aspirants must have permanent registration with any State Medical Council to be qualified for admission.
- The medical institute's recognition cut-off dates for the PG Degree programs shall be as prescribed by the (MNC)Medical Council of India (now NMC).

Admission Procedure
- National Eligibility Entrance Test for Super speciality programs, is a national-level master's level exam conducted by the NBE for admission to DM/MCh/DrNB Programs.
- Qualifying Criteria- Aspirants at the 50th percentile or above shall be qualified in the NEET-SS in their respective speciality.
The following Medical institutions are not covered under centralized admissions for DM/MCh courses through NEET-SS:
1. AIIMS, New Delhi, and other AIIMS
2. PGIMER, Chandigarh
3. JIPMER, Puducherry
4. NIMHANS, Bengaluru
