MAT 2023 exam dates are from Feb 11 to Mar 7, 2023. The MAT February exam is scheduled in 3 testing modes CBT, PBT, and IBT. There is 1 PBT, 2 CBT Mode MAT exams, and a 7-day window for IBT MAT exams on various dates. The IBT mode MAT examination is in addition to Computer-based MAT and Paper-based MAT exams without changing the MAT syllabus in February 2023. Candidates can appear in IBT MAT from the convenience of their homes instead of going to exam centres. All three MAT exams have an equal MAT syllabus and the same difficulty level.

AIMA MAT (2023). Feb Syllabus is based on past MAT exams and the types of questions that appeared in the exam. Although the MAT Exam 2023 Syllabus has yet to be strictly pre-defined by AIMA, the subjects covered in MAT Syllabus Feb 2023 are revised as per the MAT exam questions, and test pattern changes. MAT Feb 2023 Syllabus covers all the essential topics on which questions are formed in every section.  


 

Since AIMA has conducted the MAT exam since 1988, the MAT (2023) exam syllabus has changed.

Every of the 3 MAT testing modes will have a similar MAT syllabus. Sectional Sub-division of MAT 2023 February Syllabus

MAT syllabus 2023 is further subdivided. This sectional sub-division in MAT Feb 2023 syllabus makes MAT an exam with eight effective sections.

 

MAT exam syllabus 2023 for section 1 - Language Comprehension is divided into two parts - The verbal Ability syllabus and the Reading Comprehension syllabus. Similarly, the syllabus for section two - Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, also consists of two parts with different types of reasoning questions. The syllabus 2023 for Data Analysis & Data sufficiency also has 2 questions – the 1 type is on Data Analysis which is closer to Data Interpretation, and the other questions are on Data sufficiency.

All the sections have an equal number of questions. The Exam Syllabus for Quantitative Ability section is also very wide and covers every topic in Mathematics with greater emphasis on Arithmetic. MAT 2023 Feb exam syllabus is thus based on past paper patterns, which contain questions from all these sections. 

 

Section-1: Language Comprehension

Section Highlights: The MAT 2023 Feb Syllabus for Language Comprehension section in MAT is split into two parts. The 1st part of the syllabus covers topics on Reading Comprehension passages, and the 2nd part covers topics on Grammar & other parts of Verbal Ability.

 

Part-1 MAT Syllabus for (RC) Reading Comprehension 

  • RC Syllabus covers current affairs impacting Social Life, International Affairs, Schemes and Govt policies, for example, Triple Talaq, the Clean India Mission, Migration of people from one country to another, Growing intolerance across the Globe, Agricultural policies, poverty eradication programs. 
  • Business & Economic RC Passages, for example, economic development, Global economic changes at the cost of the environment, Impact of Demonetization in India, Wasteful expenditure by Governments
  • RC passages from various English Literature books, articles authored by great philosophers and thinkers, from different speeches of great personalities like passages from Aristotle, Martin Luther King, and Churchill, Charles Dickens, among others
  • Passages on Science & Culture, including the journey to the Modern world, Fading culture with the advancement of technology
  • Abstract topics and fiction are also included in the Reading Comprehension Syllabus for MAT. These Passages make the students put themselves in the author’s shoes before answering the questions following these passages since they are opinion based.
  • RC Passages on Historical events leading to social changes, for example, the French Revolution, War of Roses, and Social changes in Indian History, thoughts shared by different activists which are very much suitable even today
  • RC Passages from Mythology. These passages try to correlate the Mythological events with the current social structure, and answers to the questions must be inferred.
