How B Tech Biomedical Engineering From UPES, Dehradun Can Give Career Hike In Medical Field
Introduction
Biomedical engineering is a multi-disciplinary area that trains engineers to meet the unmet medical needs by designing medical Devices. In the Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act. (FD&C Act) defines a device as an instrument, apparatus, machine, implant, or in vitro reagent and similar. Biomedical Devices aid in the mechanical process of prosthetics, for example, implants that replace parts of organs, electronic devices that can be used for diagnostics or software like those used for better imaging.
The program gives undergraduates solid foundations in the multi-disciplinary area of Biomedical Engineering, including elements derived from Health Science, Engineering, Computer Science and Design. The program helps engineers develop abilities to solve problems in health sciences.
The rigorous project work and the internship in GE Healthcare. GE Healthcare is part of the curriculum to provide hands-on learning opportunities to students. The curriculum is designed to be effective compared to universities such as Harvard and Stanford, pioneers in their field.
The Duration Of The Program
Four years (8 Semesters)
Academic Framework
Since its beginning, the fundamentals of higher education in UPES were to research and foster learning opportunities that are modern and forward-looking. This has led to continuous advancement in the facilitation of creative and collaborative learning opportunities for students by reorienting the course curriculum and the exploration of virtual tools and open-source courseware, resulting in the possibility of unlimited learning and access to unlimited information.
The new framework for the curriculum in UPES, ABLE (Academic Blueprint for Learning Excellence), is comprehensive throughout its design. Nevertheless, it focuses on the unique requirement of the student to learn, experience the world, and explore and be challenged. Learning is divided into core subject areas and core specialisms minors and exploratory subjects, as well as life-skills and signature subjects. The recently established School for Life offers the last three.
SFL (School for the Future) is an integral component of the complete UPES student experience. It helps students learn and attain a degree that balances the needs of students and what is expected of their future as leaders and global citizens of the future. With programs designed to equip students with the ability to learn for life with a particular emphasis on a broad range of current issues and a professional and social internship requirement, UPES believes in igniting to ignite the best version of oneself to improve the world.
